The Salvation Army Guelph Citadel
The Salvation Army is an international Christian church whose mission is to share the love of Jesus Christ, meet human needs and be a transforming influence in the communities of the world. Its doctrines affirm the inspiration of the Bible, the Trinity, the divinity and humanity of Jesus Christ, humanity's need of salvation through Christ's atonement, and repentance toward God, faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and regeneration by the Holy Spirit.
The Salvation Army has served the spiritual and practical needs of Guelph since 1884. The Guelph Citadel on Gordon Street holds worship and Sunday School at 10:30 a.m. on Sundays and offers prayer, discipleship, youth and children’s programs alongside community services such as Christmas hampers, toy distribution and emergency assistance. The church office is open Monday to Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
